Vacation is Over
after 11 days away from home it is good to be back in Bend, OR. find below a few pics from the drive home. this is Detroit Lake, OR. it is east of portland by roughly 45 minutes. it was beautiful.

Hard Work
a few nights while on vacation Jeff and I worked for our food. we took the boat out and dropped crab pots. we caught about 25 during the whole trip and ate maybe 10 or so. it was a blast. on one occasion as we pulled the pot up into the boat, a roughly 3 foot shark followed the pot all the way to the surface and then swam away. fun times...

the kids
the kids had it rough. they would get up, have pancakes, watch cartoons, play on the beach, or take the infamous boat tour hosted by Uncle Mike and Jeff.

Yep, I caught a fish. It was a whopper. Let me tell you what. It was a 2lb pink salmon. Thanks Jim for letting me be the one to reel it in.

Seattle Mariners baseball
While on vacation we were able to attend a Mariners game. Of the nine (9) ballparks I have been to Seattle is my personal favorite.
We cheered the Twins on to victory and were able to keep the Mariners three (3) games back of our beloved Anaheim Angels.

we are up in Washington for vacation. a friend of ours is generous enough to let us use his house on the ocean on Whidbey Island (Puget Sound). we are blessed to be here. now lets get to the relaxing...

wow. erik and i were talking about going camping here. i went to scope it with Ian and Gena and it is gorgeous. confirmed again in my heart that there is a God.

Deschutes County Fair
The Caston Gang went to the county fair out in Redmond, OR last night. We checked out some amazing livestock and some insane kids rides. it was really fun...
So, yes that goat has four horns. And yes, Ian is actually petting the swine. And I thought for sure the lamb with the sweater on was going to talk to me.
For all you Babe lovers, I could have sworn some of the sheep were saying 'Bar Ram U... Bar Ram U...'
