this growth is forming outside the backdoor off our office. we aren't sure what to do with it–other than smash it...

wow. we got a whole bunch of snow. at least a foot in town. it was wild. here are a few images from the day...

Caston Christmas in January
mikes parents came over from roseburg for christmas with mike, gena, ian and samuel as well as for tiffany's birthday. below are some gifts ian received and are already heavily in use on day 1. we got some wooden 'poker chips' that all connect together, a train set and a sled. thanks nana diane and papa bruce!!!
We are officially a little boy
Well, we wiggled and waited and wiggled and waited... we tried in Hawaii... we tried in California... then, we thought we should give it one more shot in Oregon... and BAM!!! the night before dad goes out of town for a week it happened!!! Ians first tooth came out... dad tried and failed... mom stepped in and yanked it right out... way to go babe!!!
Ian in the Morning
i worked from home this morning. here is a taste of life at home.
Ian wakes up and he eats breakfast. this morning he spent some time watching Speed Racer. he usually is in PJ's for a while. well, this morning he goes in room and gets all dressed. cape, vest, hat, sunglasses (see picture below) and comes out... 'it is time to save the world dad. no more watching cartoons. take a picture of my cape would you'...
