jeff and megan brought the little ladies over for burgers at the caston pad. the kids visited the horses over the back fence and lived out weird fantasies (dress up) all evening.
we dug in... first pitch swinging we were down in the count 0-1. next pitch, all honed in, Ian rips a single in the hole between the pitcher and the third baseman (yes, i said that right). Ian, you have no idea how proud your daddy is... i love you kid...
Ian started his baseball career in right field (ouch). by the third inning of his first game he was promoted to SS (now we are talking).
a few pics from Daniels wedding...
the Caston family cruised down to Arroyo Grande, CA for the wedding of Gena's brother Danny. the wedding was at Port San Luis. below are a few pics of us from that day. Ian actually had a ball, Samuel loved him some Judy, and Gena just being Gena... HOT!!!
our favorite lake...
well, i am not sure how we call it our favorite. we have been to 2 of the infinite number of lakes here in Central OR. BUT, of the two, this is TOTALLY our favorite.
it is sparks lake. we couldn't get to the lake as the road is still 3 feet in snow. instead we walked and fished along the streams running through the meadows that lead to the lake.
ian fished with no bait. ended up catching a frog and named him 'froggo'. 'i sure love froggo dad'.
friggin' hot...
yep, it was blazes here last weekend. so, the Castons quickly had a pool installed. we had to check the savings account first and were relieved to find we had the $12 required to purchase the pool at the hardware store...
