Date Night
jeff and megan went out last night and left us the Caston ladies. we had fun. we just let olivia play with the phone and samuels car seat. the other kids watched movies, had mac & cheese, went to ice cream and did some 'art'.

Samuel loves the Aspirator to play with and chew on. Here are a few shots of him and his favorite toy.
i am wondering, 'what is ian doing so quitely'. i know all kinds of ideas are coming to everyones heads as they read this. so, samuel and i snuck in his room (gena was out on the town) and find him under his bunk bed with a stack of books reading. he seems me and says, 'can you just read the Bible to me dad'. i love it.
Friday night the Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Caston family came over for some eats. We had burgers, ribs and chicken from Baldy's BBQ. Do I hear 'delicious'!
The kids had a ball. Spiderman and Spiderwoman were having a global battle with Bibleman– winner to be determined.
Aren't these kids cute!!
plans to go bowling with the kids at the Fun Center were foiled when Ian's flu hung on longer than expected.
instead we partied in Ians room playing Candyland, Chutes & Ladders, matching game and some other 'newly invented' games we came up with.
the family is well. gena as lovely as always. ian with the best imagination in the universe and samuel growing like a nice fat caston boy should.
the other half of the caston clan got home yesterday (wednesday). ian and i were so happy to have them back after 10 days gone.
samuel is so active. throws his body all over. talks a ton and took the biggest dump i have ever seen in my life his first day back.
welcome home!!!
gena is still in CA with Samuel. her mom needed her around to help take care of her post surgery.
this leaves Ian and I alone in Bend. a recipe for good times and lots of trouble. this afternoon we went to Old Mill and explained to Ian what every item in the store is for.
afterwards we came home and a small miracle occurred– we made dinner at home!!!
gena. we miss you. ian wanted to send you some pictures so you remember what he looks like. here are a few classics (in no particular order).
we love you mom/babe...
ian and i walked over to CHOW for breakfast in the fireplace room and then walked over to the coffee shop for a fierce game of Chess.
